My wonderful mother and I made a trip to see him before he flew across the Pacific. Disneyland, beach cruisers, and the Los Angeles Zoo made us not want to return to the single-digit or negative degree weather (although we did go through a bright, explosion-induced heat wave near Scipio, Utah; ask Bobbi about that).
