As a college graduate with two degrees (that feels great to say), I have been a real, living adult for two weekdays now. I have woken up with no responsibilities other than work. It has been incredible.
At the beginning of this last academic year, I was very excited to begin my last year of higher education. That changed quickly once I realized how ridiculous school was. In no way does having a degree measure your ability.
By working for a small company with four extremely talented employees, we have the flexibility to do things how we want. We're not locked into established procedures and protocols. We have the freedom to decide how things would be best run. When I'm done with work, I come home and work on other projects, and these projects have no deadlines. Compare this to school when I had to lock myself in my room to finish a project that another student had dropped the ball on and was due in an hour. I definitely don't miss that at all.
