Over the past month and a half I have been involved in a group project for my Investments class. We were to analyze the macroeconomy and a specific industry and then recommend stocks from that industry that would be profitable. As a finance major, I am constantly thinking about money and what I need to invest in to increase my returns. All types of financial instruments have been discussed: stocks, bonds, futures, forwards, options, CDS, commercial paper, etc. With all of these, we have discussed ways to optimize a portfolio to maximize the returns.
Over the course of my life, I have consistently invested in The Big Man Upstairs expecting some sort of return, although never sure what form it would come in. Over the last couple months, I have seen the investment pay off. There is always a certain measure of risk when investing in financial instruments. Either I have been extremely lucky recently, or I have found a no-risk investment with guaranteed returns. You want to get something in return for you rmoney? Invest in The Big Man Upstairs.
