Almost done with the first week of work at Bear Lake. It has been rainy and cold every day; not what I expected at a resort.
We’ve done a lot of things since I arrived, most of which is preparation for the busy season in July and August. Scrubbing a swimming pool with a wire brush is quite the experience. My wrists and knuckles are still a tad sore from it.
On Thursday night the interns began a tradition at Café Sabor. There is a special for locals that gets you a burrito for $6. I plan to hit up Café Sabor every week. Afterwards, we drove down the street to The Chocolate Bear, a local store with only one other location: heaven. I ended up getting a chocolate fudgecicle, which is a Twinkie sized piece of fudge on a stick, dipped in delicious chocolate. Chocolate dipped in more chocolate. Genius.
